I've seen one adaptation of this story, and the book is entirely different in how it tells the story.
I have the urge to read all of the work of Stephen King, most of it is in my tbr pile or on my shelf. They way he fills out a small town at this point in my life feels nostalgic and familiar as I have read several of his works and many inspired by him. But his writing, when it is totally his and not an adaptation is wonderfully unique in the way any writers is when they indulge in exactly what they want to.
How they story is taking place in the before and after, how it comments on government and personal responsibility. I had a great time.
