Way too many uses of the word “mate”  and

no consequential deaths from main characters…

but despite that I still really enjoyed this book.

Its not always easy to come up with satisfying ways to defeat the main villain, but having Elain responsible for it really worked for me. The main meeting of all the lords kicked ass. All in all was a really entertaining read. Rip the Bone Carver.
