"This movie is not for everyone. This movie is for some of us."
This book is told in three parts: the present day, the past making of the movie, and detailed script excerpts of the titular Horror Movie. I do admit I spent most of the book confused by the inclusion of the present day, because it seemed like there wasn't enough space to really do anything with it. I cared far more about the past and the script than the present. That final, jar-dropping chapter changed my mind (and made me shell out $50 for a signed, special edition of the book).
(Thank you Tremblay for acknowledging the covid pandemic is still not over btw!)
