The Toymaker's Doll: An Allegorical Short Story by E.G. Bella

5.0

I usually end a review with recommendations but....if you're struggling with, what you believe to be, your flaws, shortcomings and weakness or you just need an encouraging, inspiring story full of uplifting truths and scripture, then I can't think of a better story to turn to than this one.

This was a recommended book in [a:Grace A. Johnson|19003396|Grace A. Johnson|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1665161690p2/19003396.jpg]'s recent newsletter and it sounded interesting so I purchased a copy. I'd never read an allegorical story before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It read like a kid-friendly fairytale but had the powerful message of a parable. It REALLY reminded of that VeggieTale episode- The Snoodle's Tale and both made me wanna cry happy tears because they're so moving and they get the message of God's love for us so well across. Jane was a sweet and kind character and her story was relatable.

I absolutely loved this short story! Can't say enough good things about it. I'll be looking for more by this author.
