Dating an Alien Pop Star by Kendra L. Saunders

4.0

This was just a fun book. Like pop music, light, fluffy, and happy. The premise is that aliens similar to humans arrive on earth, ostensibly looking for David Bowie (who he believes is also an alien) and one of them (Griffin) also wants to become a pop star. To help them fit in, they kidnap Daisy Kirkwood. And so starts the wild adventure, as Daisy helps them with shopping and navigating earth culture, that leads to events with far reaching consequences.

As I mentioned earlier, this book was just a lot of fun. The characters are all likeable, some of them goofily likeable. I believe the target audience is the YA market, but it makes a good summer read for anyone who enjoys a romance, or friendly aliens, or fairy tales.

This is book one in a series, and I am looking forward to reading the next one.
