Where Lightning Strikes by A.L. Jackson

4.0

Be prepared for a complete and total book hangover. I waited for the audio version of this book, I love the narrators A.L. Jackson chooses. Andi Arndt and Sebastian York bring this book to life, taking you into the world of Tamar and Lyric. I don't even know where to start. Tamar does her best to give Lyric the brush off each time he comes into town, though every sense of hers goes on alert every time he is near. Finally she gives in, knowing that he will never be able to give himself fully to her. They give each other 2 months, the length of time Lyric will be in Georgia. We learn Tamar's painful past, and how Lyric does his best to wipe out all her bad memories. Slowly, Tamar begins to fall in love with him, and each time they get to close, Lyric pushes her away. Frustrating!!!! You just want to shake him and scream, "What is your problem?". We do find out what is holding him back and how they each resolve their pasts. I completely loved this story and am so looking forward to the next one with Austin! Phenomenal series!
