Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - 2 Book Bundle Collection by J.K. Rowling

3.0

The thing about the Harry Potter universe is that its vast - ridiculously vast, even - and the possibilities are just as ridiculously vast. With that being said, there are so many things that, as a fan of the original series, thought could happen but no way to really tell what I was getting.

Now to be perfectly honest, the plot itself isn't the gem I was hoping for and a lot of the charm might've been lost because its a script format versus a novel.

One debate I've been having is who I should consider as the titular "cursed child".

1. Delphi, as she's the child of the Dark Lord
2. Albus and/or Scorpius, whose curse is that of the legacy of their fathers
3. Harry Potter himself who despite overcoming what was prophesied, his existence still leaves scars for many of the people who've suffered from his actions

I'm definitely thinking too much into because I was just glad there were more of the Harry Potter itself and I did enjoy the script format as someone who enjoys reading them.

I think the time-turners and Cedric Diggory's death was an interesting choice for a plot but not solid enough for me.

The best part of this book is the discussion we Potter fans can have for DAYS over it.

I do still recommend it because the thoughts on this are too varied to not read it for yourself. You never know
