SO FUCKING GOOD WTF
i know this is a cliche but this is amazing. the way he writes his characters and how the confinement starts to slowly make jack insane (or maybe there really are ghosts, WHO KNOWS) it’s just superb!
i’ve got to say that i love this book but i also love the movie. yes, king himself doesn’t and a lot of people that already read this book don’t either BUT it’s one of my first-watched and favorite horror movies ever.
(i think that kubrick did what he could in an adaptation because most of this book happens inside the characters minds and their thoughts are everything to the story so it’s translating that to a movie.)
anyway: i love the movie. i LOVE the book.
