The Scorch Trials
by James Dashner
Way too much happened in this book. It was essentially Dashner stretching out an interesting plot line that could fit into two books into four. And it makes me not want to read the others. I found myself caring very little about Teresa and Thomas. It was meant to confuse the reader, an attempt to leave them wondering, "is Teresa good or bad?" I instead found it incredibly vapid. I liked The Maze Runner, but I would have liked the entire concept better if a second book had not been written.
I gave it 3 because Dashner has or thing working for him in this book: suspense.
