For people who might just view Jane Austen as one of the most well-known Regency writers, don't think that keeps her from being absolutely hilarious. Yes, she had a tendency to use far too many commas and drag sentences on for paragraphs. But Sense and Sensibility is such a bouncy read that I thoroughly enjoyed!
