This was one of the better romance novels I’ve read this year! Spice was spicy.  Nate Hawkins is top tier book boyfriend material.  I normally don’t like when romance books do random cute scenes, just because it feels shoehorned for the sake of cuteness and like it’s not contributing to the plot, however I didn’t mind them in the book.  There were scenes that didn’t really advance the plot any but I still enjoyed them bc the characters were so loveable!  Frenemies to lovers, boy loves the girl more, praise, and several other cute tropes.
Unfortunately, this book does end with her pregnant and them getting engaged.  It just felt a little out of place since Anastasia was so headstrong towards her goals for the entire book.  I would’ve much rather the book ended with her at the olympics and winning the gold, instead of us being told that had already happened and now she’s pregnant. I’m glad that’s where their story takes them, but I didn’t necessarily need that to be the ending.
I’ve HEARD this boom is kind of a rip off of ‘The Deal’ but I’ve never read that so I can’t be sure.  Super fun and easy read!
