I recently read another comic about young Jewish tourists traveling to Poland to uncover the secrets of life before the Holocaust - "We Won't See Auschwitz" - and though I liked it at the time, this one instantaneously pushed it from my mind. No one can touch Modan: her art, coloring, and storytelling are without peer. Modan will always be one of my favorite writers, comics or otherwise. So beautiful, touching, and funny.
