G-8 and his Battle Aces was a very pulpy and no surprise there. I found the story to be flat. You could tell that the main character was never in any real danger. He was always so much better than anyone else. It reminded me a lot of the Doc Savage stories. Where the main Character is almost a super hero.  I was hoping for more of a spy thriller and being a lover of WWI and WWII I just wanted more.
That being said it was campy and fun if you like that out of your pulp. I didn't hate it but I also didn'y love it. I may or may not revisit the series. Much like Doc Savage it left me not wanting more.
That makes me a little sad because I am a fan of the pulps. This just shows me that not everyone that wrote for them was of the same cloth.  As aways your mileage me very.
