Oh how I love vampire fiction! This book has been on my TBR for a minute, and I've been itching to read it ever since it got there. I'd heard so many good things about it, and holy shit am I glad I finally got the chance to read it. The only sad thing now is that it's over! I'd give anything to read this book with new eyes again.

This was an enthralling read, and I love that it was formatted in the forms of letters for chapters. It was also super immersive being written in the first person! I don't think I've read a book like that in quite some time. It really brought home being in Constanta's shoes and living through her life and struggles.

I adore the relationship between Alexi, Magdalena, and Constanta. It's hard to describe everything I like about their relationship, but there really is just something about found family/lovers that just absolutely makes me insane. I'd love to read about more of their antics.

I'm absolutely looking forward to the next book in the series even if (as far as I know) it doesn't involve them. Just gotta wait and read the little sneak peak at the back of this one! ;)
