Dragonsong
by Anne McCaffrey
Short and sweet. Not very interesting. We follow the story of Menolly.
Pretty simple: wants something, can't because of her sex, finds fire lizards, becomes welcomed in new community, happy ending.
Replays what we've already learned about dragons, fire lizards, threads. I didn't learn anything new.
Not much danger. Maybe when she was stuck outside during thread for a short while, but we know she had found suitable shelter earlier.
Just feels like a long way to get singing fire lizards. This simple & cute idea with a book written around it.
