Life was hectic; exams, chaos.. but I finally get to talk about this book! Huge thanks to Kristen for the ARC, and sorry for the late review, but HAPPY release day!
Okay, so let’s get this out of the way, I love Zeph. Finn and Lucas? Great, sure. But Zeph has me in a chokehold. His presence, his intensity, his shadows, everything about him just works. I wanted more between him and Alex.. more darkness, more chemistry, more of that sharp-edged, intoxicating pull.. but I guess that's for the next book. The tension is there, simmering beneath the surface, and I can’t wait for it to explode.
Also, how have I not mentioned this before? The character art scattered throughout the book is stunning. Seriously, props to the artist. It adds SO MUCH!
The plot? Still as gripping as ever. Power struggles, dangerous alliances, and battles that had my heart racing. It's intense in the best way I actually finished the book in two days!
Excited for the next book, and I can't wait for more Zeph. (squeeaaals)
