Wood You Rather? by Daphne Elliot
4.0
"A gunshot didn’t take me out, but having to live a single day without you might.”
I have been loving this series and the suspense that continues from one book to the next makes them so addicting! This is the third book of the Lowell Lumberjacks - Pascal hires Parkers to look more into his fathers death, she doesnt want to take the job at first because of their past but finally agrees to come to Lowell to investigate. Parker was so strong and wouldnt give up, she was so commited and dedicated to getting to the bottom of what happened, love a strong FMC! Im gonna be honest i went into this book not like Pascal after everything with Remy but by the end of this book you see the kind of man he truly is adn why he is the way he is. They slowly broke down each others walls and fell so hard for each other❤️
“You saved my life,”
“You saved mine first,”
The fake dating and forced proximity was fanatastic especially once the spice finally started, this book was definitely more focused on the suspense and mystery more than the previous two which i really enjoyed! i have to say the last third of my book was my favorite and made it really hard to put down! These two had the best banter and i loved seeing their relationship grow and the bonus epilogue was just perfection
“But I’m a planner. And the thought of not having you every single day for the rest of my life is literally driving me crazy.”
