The Art of the Novel by Milan Kundera

4.0

Once again, I've finished a Kundera novel with a smile. The last line was absolutely brilliant. And this is something I look forward to rereading after getting to his other novels. I'm most interested in Life is Elsewhere and The Joke. There's a certain feeling I slip into when I crack open something written by him and that feeling was as present as ever as I flipped through this book at my languid, leisurely pace. There were times I found myself wishing I could get the references he was making but if anything that's only inspired me to broaden my literary scope and to tackle more than I've limited myself to.
