Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke's Heart
by Sarah MacLean
Well, not really my favorite but quite enjoyable.
Simon (or Leighton?) is a duke who swear to protect his family's honor. But when he stumbled upon Juliana's reckless behavior, he couldn't help but intrigued. Juliana, with her scandalous past is having a crush for Simon yet she hate him for being such a straight duke with no passion. She wants him to break his own rules and she made sure that she's there to watch him..
The plot's interesting. But I just hate its historical language. It confuse me! This is the first book I've read out of the trilogy but I have no problem of catching up. No problem but--again, the language.
Kind of expecting Simon would do something drastic and radical towards Juliana, especially something romantic but too bad nothing really happen until almost the end of the book. Simon irritates me a lot and Juliana's far too meek. She claimed herself to be strong but she surrender herself to Simon easily. And she chase him?! Major turn off.
Simon, despite the fact that he's protective and possessive in adorable way, is annoying. He just a step away from marriage yet he still chasing Juliana. Showed up in every place she went. I was like, puhleaaaase.
So far, this one's quite good. But I'm not looking forward to read the previous books of the series.
