Spaceman by Mike Massimino
5.0

I'm a big fan of astronaut biographies. I suppose that's because they help to take me places where I know I'll never go. Mike Massimino's biography, Spaceman, is a good one. It shows that astronauts a human, they make mistakes and have fears just like the rest of us. Mass (as he was nicknamed) also revealed that the path he took in becoming an astronaut wasn't traditional and that hard work can help you to overcome whatever roadblocks might be in your way. He's got a lot of good sound advice in the book (“You only have one life. You have to spend it doing something that matters.") and he also does a wonderful job in describing the complexity, importance and beauty of space exploration.

I highly recommend it.
