I want to start by saying that I loved the writing style and voice that this author has cultivated. You are immediately immersed in the realistic world she has created and expanded upon. It’s realistic fiction to begin with, but the characters immediately become real and clear in your mind as you read, so that I loved.

I appreciate when the main character decides to go to therapy and work out their issues, but the manner in which the main character of this book, Greta, comes to that conclusion was not my favorite thing that has ever happened.

I also have a bit of unresolved trauma around affairs outside a marriage, so this was a bit triggering for me in parts.

It’s funny and well written but people had hyped it up a lot and I didn’t think it lived up to that entirely.
