rwilhoyte 's review for:
If It Bleeds
by Stephen King
This might have been a 5 star review but I'm not overly emotional so I'll go with 4.
Stories in order of favorite to least favorite and a little bit of why:
Rat-I just really like stories about the process of writing. As someone with the idea and desire to write a novel, one that keeps getting sabotaged by my own head, I understand Drew. It's a creepy little fable.
Life of Chuck- I found this to be a really creative idea, although Act III (The first chunk) was my favorite.
If It Bleeds- Not a fan of the Finders Keepers trilogy because I think King relies on stereotypes for the characters too much. The Outsider was pretty good and I think King understands these characters more at this point. Still, it's a sequel which makes me less excited.
Mr. Harrigan's Phone- feels like a short story idea that would've stayed in a drawer it hadn't been a King story. The main character sort of reminds of that Steve Buscemi "Hello, fellow kids" meme.
