The Banker’s Wife is about the lives of two women. Annabel, the wife of a powerful banker at Swiss United finds out the private plane her husband was on, mysteriously crashed in the Alps. The crash is originally ruled as an accident, but Annabel doesn’t believe it.
Marina, a journalist and the soon to be wife of Grant Ellis, is writing one last story to honor the death of her boss and mentor. Ellis is part of a powerful New York family, whose father is also about to announce his candidacy for president, and the information that Marina uncovers while doing research for her last article, could have severe consequences for herself and her soon to be family.
I read this entire book in one day! I couldn’t put it down. I love this type of thriller where the crime is much deeper (Steve Cavanaugh’s books are another example), and it’s more than just a cheating spouse and an affair. I loved the alternating character views from different sides of the story, it kept it very interesting. There were a lot of characters introduced, but unlike other books with a lot of characters, I didn't have any issues keeping everyone straight. This books is a must read for all of my thriller/suspense lovers out there!
