I Wanna Be Where You Are
by Kristina Forest
I wanna Be Where you are is about Chloe who secretly plans to two hundred miles to a ballet audition that could change her live. If hiding this huge secret from her mom isn't enough, her annoying Neighbor Eli and his dog Geezer kind off blackmails her into taking them along for the ride. Chloe quickly realizes that this trip isn't going to go as she planned.
This was a pretty cute and quick read. Chloe is pretty straight forward character, I liked how we follow mostly her journey on finding her confident in her dancing back. Her and Eli story was also interesting to follow. Eli has a lot of stuff going on at home and I’m glad to see them having fun along their trip, growing closer and opening up to each other. The side characters were so fun, and I loved the whole friendship part of this book. The parents are pretty annoying in this book, tbh I liked only her stepdad that only had 4 lines in the whole book. It was fun and I had a good time, but nothing more than that tbh. It doesn’t stand out too much in my mind.
overall, it was just a cute story about two teens trying to decide their own future. I will keep a look out for Kristina Forest other books.
