Ashes
by Dylan Page
all the feels!
It was great seeing some of the characters from torment in this book. It reminded me of all the things I felt when I read it. Now onto the book itself. Rh is my jam so ofc I was super stoked that this book was full of that dynamic. I truly loved how they tried to give Casey a better life even if it means she hated them for it. As for the darkness level, I’d say a dark grey and that’s not something to sneer at. Not every book needs to be shrouded in darkness. I love playing in the spectrum and was honored that ashes wasn’t as dark as torment. I feel like we all needed that breather especially if you were like me and read the books back to back. Now we all know I’ve had at least one dumb moment and this one was a doozy. Why did it take me until 70% of the way through the book to realize it was set in Canada?!!! All the signs were there. I was just like huh THEYRE from the states that’s interesting
