‘If we’re going to play with fire, let’s not settle for matches. We deserve fireworks and infernos’ - Catherine Cowles 🔥
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 3.5 Stars
My first Cowles book and I really loved her characters. Sutton was wholesome and deserved the world. Cope was a protective teddy bear - a little overbearing at first but I warmed to him. Their chemistry was on fireeee. 🧸
The found family unit was SO wholesome. The way the single mum situation was handled was beautiful. I usually struggle when children or pregnancy is bought into a romance, but the way Luca was considered throughout was sweet. 🍬
Despite blasting through this, I did have to re-read at times - the writing style wasn’t always easy for me. Also, I’m all for traumatic pasts and the implications these have on characters. However, the level of crazy at the end of this seemed a little misplaced for a small town romance. 🤷🏻♀️
