I think that the magic in this trilogy was unique, consistent and solid, and was part of the focus of the books. This pleased me deeply. I did love the characters, and was rooting for them. However, I did feel frustration (as one should with well written characters), and I am not sure my heart loved the ending. I was hoping to be with the epicness, not just read about the aftermath... I was sad that the author stripped that away from us.

Anyways, it ended how it must have, befitting the characters development.
