The Caves of Steel by Isaac Asimov

4.0

Isaac Asimov is undoubtedly one of the most acclaimed and impactful sic-fi authors. This sequel of 'I, Robot' asserts his impressive genius in the plausible visions that science fictions achieve. Primarily written as a detective fiction, this book contains a very engaging plot. The readers are immersed not only in the murder mystery but also the ideas of the human society and futuristic reaches of human technology. In this way, one also feels it is very much a sociological writing, similar to what Asimov's 'Foundation' series is. One also cannot fail to appreciate author's mastery in story-telling. If you are looking for a good detective fiction, it should impress you, because it has motivated me to follow the 'Robot' series.
