Very spicy

Ex boyfriend’s dad, snowed in, age gap, cowboy romance, small town.

The story itself was cute. Girl is hunting down her ex boyfriend, ends up in the middle of butt fück no where, ex is a complete loser, his dad is loosely estranged from him but making up for lost times. She’s a vet looking to finish her placements so she can graduate. She has debts, needs to pay them and her ex owes her money.

I did find the repetition of mentioning her green eyes to be too much. I’m that kind of reader and I pick up on it (24 times green eyes were mentioned, not including “emerald” & “moss” … and that’s not including how many times the MMC hazel eyes were also spoken of - 20 times)

I’m a stickler for repetitiveness, it just grinds on me and becomes a weeeee bit boring. “inside of me” was used too much too (22 times) GOD, I sound horrible writing this but it just stood out to me to the point it’s apart of my review.

I did enjoy that this book didn’t head in the direction a lot of books do. Throwing in Kaycee and his issues he got himself into was a fun and captivating twist that held my attention. I would have liked to read more of that saga then about the weather.

I also would have liked to read more about WHY Colton was into Layla. I felt like I didn’t get a lot of that with all the spicy scenes. Instead we just got him… in Layla. Poor choice of words? I don’t know
