I actually really liked this book despite the cheesy title. I thought the friendships were sweet. I love the Seattle and Bay Area imagery. I’m partial to books set in I’ve lived. I also thought the reason they broke up the first time was very relatable. They were young and in their heads. They didn’t talk about how they were feeling and what they needed. I also understand Georgia’s hesitancy to jump in a second time given they’ve been best friends since high school and her relationship with her absent/unreliable dad. The lists of reasons Eli loves her in the paper rings was very sweet. The only try hard part for me was when he made a comment about the capitalistic roller coaster, and she said that was the hottest thing he’s said. Like kind of performative, and I’m not that mad about it.
