I really liked the story.  I found the italics of the diary entries uncomfortable to read on my kindle so I listened to the audio version.  The author uses the equals sign very often in the book in the diary entries and hearing the narrator say this “equals” that became repetitive and jarring.  It is used in place of the words ‘is’ or ‘because’ or ‘so’ or ‘means that’ or really anything.  I found it annoying to listen to.  But I liked the story.  I liked how the author didn’t tie everyone’s story up with a neat happily ever after bow.
