The Heart of Smoke by K Webster

5.0

The Heart of Smoke brought total joy to my world!

Jude Park is a duality of the grumpiest and most caring man, created from past trauma and just the man that Jude is that has shaped and carved his world. His mysterious persona, the monster behind the mask, is one of my favorite of Webster's emotionally damaged characters to date. I fell in love with his character growth from cover to cover and Tate Prince was the absolute best man I ever could have imagined for him to fall for. Together they were sweet, funny, hot, intense, absolutely everything perfect for the right blend of chemistry to bring this story to life and I loved watching every moment of their coupleship blossom. ❤️

Tate Prince is the therapist brought into the Park world to help, basically everyone with their issues, but most of all Jude. He brings a warm light on this kind of messed up Park family even though Tate has his own messed up background too. I loved, loved, loved digging further into each Park relationship right along with Tate while revisiting past memories. It was the perfect blend of old and new to give me all the warm fuzzies.
