This one was slow for me. Devoured Butcher and Blackbird but Leather and Lark just seemed so slow. I felt in comparison there were just more action events in the first book, which I liked. This one was heavily more emotional. Which didn't work as well for me. The same humor from the author as book one is what continues to be seen in the books and was great to see again.
