The Miserable Mill
by Lemony Snicket
Man, I really LOVE Klaus Baudeliare. He'd make an amazing boyfriend, hope to see that certain development.
This book was a welcome change. Violet reading, Klaus inventing something, and an evil person dies at last.
It's really weird to have such a sad and depressing series for children, with killings and unacceptable living situations and minor labor. I like the writing style and the main characters, but I don't think eleven-year-old me would like to have this series as her bedtime story. Thankfully the seventeen-year-old me is too depressed already and can appreciate such a well written book.
