I loved the heart of this story, the sorta enemies-to-friends-to-lovers and the accidental pregnancy, and I loved that Red fell first…he was completely smitten with Cassidy and had been for years, (also loved when he finally admitted this to her) SWOON!! Overall a super sweet story and the spice was mostly fun, but I did get the ick more than once.

I did have a few issues, mostly minor things…

- My first issue is with Shelby. Didn’t like her. Not the kinda person I’d call a best friend after she ditched Cassidy more than once for a guy, and also begged her pregnant friend to go out, got upset when Cassidy wanted to go home because she was tired (and again, pregnant!), and ultimately ditched her again and shoved her off to Red the moment she could. She just rubbed me the wrong way.

- And separate from Shelby…but what 31 yo pregnant person is going clubbing??

- My second issue was the fact that Cassidy and Red are supposed to be in their early thirties and more often than not, it felt like I was reading a story about a couple of characters in their late teens-early twenties. Especially when it came to Cassidy’s dad; she’s a grown ass woman and while I understand their close relationship due to her dad being a single parent for most of her life and I appreciated his protective nature, Dave was just a little too much for me at times.

Again, loved the story overall. Sweet and fun with relatable characters with some decent growth. I also really enjoyed Cassidy and Blair’s friendship, and the Easter eggs for Blair’s story. Excited to continue this series!
