Queen Song by Victoria Aveyard

"Coriane simply could not believe how her mind seemed to spin out of control, happy one second and then distraught the next, bouncing between emotions like a kite in a gale."

Honestly, this book added a lot of value to the series for me. It was a beautiful story told that is intertwined with the feeling of emptiness, loss, and sadness. I really felt for Coriane throughout the entire story. I felt so deeply for her when she finally confronted Elara, and she realized that the feelings she has been having have been hers all along. But, also were they really?

I'm not going to lie, I'm still a bit confused by the ending because I truly don't know if Elara actually convinced Coriane to kill herself. I'm assuming it's up to interpretation (or we may find out in later books), but it is clear in Red Queen that Julian is convinced Elara had something to do with it. I also think that, but I am really on the fence after Coriane used her singer abilities on Elara. I'm hoping that we get clarification on that in one of the later books in the series.
