smquesnelle 's review for:
The Beggar King
by Oliver Pötzsch
The first book in a series. It was a riveting insight into medieval Germany, especially the treatment of hangmen. Given my nonfiction readings about the time period, everything was fairly historically accurate which is always a plus. You'll fall in love with the head strong hangman's daughter and her forbidden beau, the doctor's son.
