Can You Solve the Murder? by Antony Johnston

fast-paced

5.0

The most thrilling, engaging, and fun book I’ve read in a long time…perhaps since I was a child??! I loved the interactive nature of this book and the way that it made me really focus on the little details. Usually, I’m a skimmer in parts, but while reading this, I actually put many things together before the detective actually recognized it! I did have to restart once (and probably should have restarted again), but it was helpful for seeing a few of the different paths you could take. Honestly, even when I made the accusation I wasn’t 100% sure, as I felt tied to a theory that ended up not being correct, but I found the killer. I commend the author for such a demanding narrative and kept thinking about how much work goes into these types of structures. I’d love to see the flow chart of how one passes through the book! Also, I’m so grateful that the ebook had links taking you around the book; it made for a much more enjoyable experience. I will definitely read books like this again in the future.
