super cute book! very relaxing to read and enjoy all the descriptions of the dishes and the atmosphere -- I've never been in the company of the insanely rich, but that's exactly what I think it'd be like. I loved the side stories about Astrid and different povs with each chapter, and I like how lighthearted the book was while still managing to make important commentary on privilege and wealth. that said, I don't think I'll read the next book -- I'd like to see what happens with Rachel's father and her and Nick and his mother, but I don't want to read a while book about it. maybe I'll just watch the movie lol.
