Reading While Black: African American Biblical Interpretation as an Exercise in Hope by Esau McCaulley

5.0

Reading While Black is a wonderful testament to the rich theology arising from Black Christians. As a white pastor, this book is invaluable because it has discipled me in seeing the African American perspective in my ecclesiology, exegesis, theology, and preaching. This is easily the most important book I’ve read in 2020.
