The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Michael A. Singer

2.0

Although there were some helpful reminders throughout the book - particularly in keeping our hearts open instead of closed; the inner chatter; and the chapter about death -, I found most of its content not practical and a bit too repetitive. ‘Let it go, let it go, let it go’, as if it was that simple to ‘just let it go’. Considering the importance and seriousness of the topics, this book lacks depth. Perhaps I missed the mark, or wasn’t in the right frame of mind when reading this book, but I really don’t understand all the hype around it. If I hadn’t purchased it in e-book format, I would happily ‘let it go’ to a charity shop and hope that someone else would get more out of it than I did.
