The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh

4.0

A wonderfully whimsical, fantastical read. From the start, you quite literally dive right into the action and story. The lore and story behind the characters comes organically through the book, and all the characters were the perfect addition to move it along. While there is a bit of romance in it, it focuses more on the main FMC working to save her people, while also learning about the spirit realm and that even the gods are flawed, that not everything is as it seems. Set in such a beautifully enchanting setting, the picture Axie painted was just stunning. I loved Mina as a main character. She wasn’t over the top, she was just a girl, who wanted to save her family and her village, but her heart and her stories is what really makes her special.
