Not That Bad: Dispatches from Rape Culture by Roxane Gay

What a powerful, difficult book. This may be the only time I've cried listening to an audiobook. Rape and sexual assault are of course not exclusive to women, but in many ways they are gendered and gendering crimes. This book is mostly female in its narration, deeply raw, and hard to read or listen to. I also thinks it's desperately important that more stories like this are told so that the cost of these crimes are truly tallied and reckoned with.
