The Dud Avocado
by Elaine Dundy
Fun, frothy and utterly ridiculous. From the moment Sally-Jay appears in a ball gown you just fall in love with her. The plot is non-existent but that really doesn’t matter. Sally-Jay sums up being young and silly - falling in love with the wrong men, losing her passport, never doing her laundry - but she always lands on her feet and it’s great fun watching as she does.
