The Ickabog was cute and I loved the adventure. I also found that there was a deep underlying message of what happens when people in power abuse that power, and I loved that. Lord Spittleworth was an awful, unlikeable character but I have to give credit where credit is due, he was great at decieving people especially the king. I loved how the King and Spittleworth faced the consequences of their actions. The artwork drawn by extremely talented children was a great addition. Overall this book was enjoyable.
