There Will Come a Darkness by Katy Rose Pool

3.0

I agree that somehow in this book, so much yet so little simultaneously happened. The plot itself seemed to be quite shallow yet drawn out. Personally, I didn't feel any sort of attachment to the characters until I was 3/4 of the way through, and the plot didn't really entice me too much either. That said, I enjoyed the last 1/4 of the book and because of that, I'll be reading the sequel. I think I would have preferred this book if the five characters were more personally involved with each other. They have not all interacted with each other, some did, but not all five at the same time for sure. I'm hoping the sequel will bring together a reason for them to come together, but by the way this book ended, I think that's unlikely.
