Bullet Train
by Kōtarō Isaka
The book started off soooo slow. Like achingly slow, not to mention that the story has so many important characters to keep track of. I powered through it and halfway into the book I started to really become invested in these characters. OFC I do have to mention that the book is very different to the movie- there's a few changes that I don't necessarily understand the reason for but- I digress.
I really hated the Prince in this book. I just couldn't find anything redeemable about him- not that there's supposed to be. But every time we spun back around to his chapters I was sooo annoyed- and his chapters seemed to be a lot longer than other chapters. I did like that the POV's change so often- so we see a rounded idea of what's going on. I loved Lemon and Tangerine (of course). There are some parts of the book that are confusing- like I'm still ??? about Morning Glory and the schoolteacher on the train. This is definitely a book that would be soooo good for a book club because I can see some good discussions happening. Overall, I enjoyed. 4/5
