Learn Your Lesson by Kandi Steiner

Will “Daddy P” Perry may be the #1 goalie in the NHL, but he’s powerless to stop his daughter’s Teacher from scoring his heart.t

The first two books of this series saw Will as the veritable leader of the Tampa Ospreys,a sounding board for each and every player, a loyal friend and mentor during a crisis, who still made time to be an actual father off the ice.
He immediately intrigued me, and may I say, WOW.
This man has depth and strength in spades!
He is such a good dad, devoted, completely selfless.
Each and every time Ava uttered “It’s okay, Daddy. We are doing our best”, I FELT those words.
As parents the guilt of wondering if what we are accomplishing is truly enough sets in frequently, so this was the real lesson and takeaway from their story.
Honest words from a child who noticed the small things.

Chloe is my absolute favorite of Kandi’s FMC’s!!!
She is kind, has a generous heart, a sweet temperament ,and represents all that is good and deserving of love and praise.
I enjoyed watching her special relationship with Ava unfold. Her drawing of Ava into the world of magic and a happy childhood, where it’s ok to smile, laugh, and play was such a pleasure to read.

The relationship between the two main characters evolved in a natural and organic way. Their growing respect and affection for each other is beautifully captured.
The chemistry between the couple was INCREDIBLE.
I felt the longing and desire for something that was real.

The raw and unfiltered look at grief, and how it can stunt not only growth, but childhood itself was a brave thing to tackle on page, even when it was brutal to see.

I felt the change and shift in the characters in real time, and it was just beautiful. The story is authentic and moving. They deserved the healing and HEA that was hard-earned.
I absolutely loved it!
