Tale of the Heart Queen by Nisha J. Tuli
fast-paced
3.0
I was so sceptical to see how she was going to tie all these things together, and in the end the solution felt a little bit like picking a random character to conveniently take the place of Zerra.
Rion's redemption arc on the other hand felt super rushed, and his decisions in the last twenty or so pages where too out of character for me to believe it.
I must admit I got lost between the storylines a little bit, and also the occasional switches between first and third person narrator. Still, it was a surprisingly fun series, despite the constant "are you okay" "i love you bebbiii" from Nadir and Lor which really annoyed me after a while.
Oh, and sometimes the writing style was a little ... hollow and took me out of the experience, especially when the whole "we're catching everyone up to speed and they are shocked" happens. Literally every other chapter.
