Southern Storm by Natasha Madison

Honestly I didn't think that I would end up liking, forgiving, or even finding any redemption in Savannah so I had my doubts going into this book. That being said the author has done a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life and letting me see another side of Savannah that I normally would have overlooked because let's face it we are all somewhat judgmental jerks. In the first book Savannah seemed to come off as a piece of work that we all ended up not liking in some way, but now after reading this story I ended up sympathizing with her and even understanding her actions to an extent. Am I still happy about what happened with Jacob and Kallie? no, but I swear Beau helped ease some of my anger and help me see Savannah differently. The back and forth between Beau and Savannah had me screaming at my kindle wanting them to confess their love for each other so when it happened I felt so much happiness. This book let's us in on a friends to lover romance that they have loved each other forever but fate and timing has always been off and now will they get their chance or will things and hatred drive Savannah away for good? I was glad I was wrong about Savannah and that things ended they way they did, but poor Ethan. Ethan's story is going to wreck us but in a good way. It takes talent for an author to make a hated character find not only redemption but become extremely likeable and this author has done it and I'm glad we all get/give second chances.
